Got only a few days to explore the natural wonders of Kenya? This 4-day safari itinerary takes you to some of the most fun places in the Kenyan wilderness so you can experience an authentic safari adventure even if it’s just for a few days. Start with a refreshing boat ride along the enchanting Lakes Naivasha and Nakuru – home to fascinating bird species like pink flamingos, cormorants, and ibis. Of course, you’ll also come across diverse wildlife, like rhinos, lions, and warthogs roaming the woodlands and acacia swamps.

The second part of your journey sees you traversing the rolling grasslands of the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. The superb game viewing, along with the mesmerizing landscapes, makes this one of the top safari destinations in the world! In addition to the thrilling game drives in the African bush, you also get to enjoy fantastic sundowners, where you get to sit back after an exciting day in the wild, drink in hand, and marvel at the marvelous African sunset. It’s definitely an unforgettable experience!

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 -Day 1 - Nairobi - Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru

We will meet and welcome you upon arrival in Nairobi. After a short briefing, you will set off for Lake Naivasha where you get to enjoy a morning boat ride. During this tour, you are likely to see fish eagles hunting for fish in the lake, cormorants, and ibis among other water birds. After the boat ride, you will proceed to Lake Nakuru National park for the afternoon game drive. In Lake Nakuru National park, you have good chances to see the endangered black and white rhino, as well as various big cats (lion, cheetah, leopard, etc.) The park itself is very scenic with the lake contrasting the acacia woodland areas where troops of baboons can be seen.

Pelican Lodge

After breakfast, you will check out and proceed to Masai Mara passing through the Masai town of Narok. You’ll arrive at Masai Mara with a game drive in search of the big cats and other wildlife. You have a chance to see the African sunset before returning to the camp for dinner and overnight.


Full Board Meals


Sekenani Mara Camp

After breakfast, you will leave for a full day of game drives in the expansive Masai Mara Game Reserve. You have good chances to see most of the Big Five. These include Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, Leopard, and Rhino. You will enjoy picnic lunch (lunch boxes from your camp) in a designated area inside the park. Thereafter you can go for an optional visit of a traditional Masai village (not included in the price, but can be arranged directly with the drive guide) and have the opportunity to learn more about their fascinating culture. Thereafter you will resume game drives until you return to the camp for dinner and overnight.


Full Board Meals


Sekenani Mara Camp

Your final day begins with an early morning game drive before breakfast. This game drive gives you good chances to see Big Cats hunting or sharing a kill. Some of the elusive animals like the leopard may be seen at this hour. You’ll then return to the camp for breakfast and leave thereafter for Nairobi with lunch at a designated restaurant on the way. Drop off can be at your hotel in Nairobi or at the airport.
