Our story

From guide's seat to founder's desk

Gosheni Safaris was founded in 2009 by Peter Robert, a former safari guide and driver who believed that the best safaris come from people who truly know the land. What began as a small operation in Arusha, Tanzania has grown into one of Africa's premier safari operators.

Unlike most operators, we own and maintain our own fleet of over 50 custom safari Land Cruisers. No third-party rentals, no middleman commissions, just direct control over quality, pricing, and the experience you receive. Every member of our ground team is Tanzanian, bringing authentic local knowledge to every journey.

Today we operate across six African countries (Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, Botswana, Rwanda, and Uganda) with 159+ curated safari packages. From the Great Migration to Kilimanjaro climbs, gorilla trekking to the beaches of Zanzibar: every trip is personal, every detail matters, and every journey gives back.
