The Experience
The Tree House is a single-room treetop hideaway in the forest near Kanyanchu, the chimpanzee tracking trailhead and visitor centre in Kibale National Park. It is now run by Primate Lodge, whose main lodge sits beside the visitor centre, and is reached on foot along a short forest path. The platform rises about 10 metres up a large tree and looks over an elephant wallow, where forest elephants and several monkey species are regularly seen. Facilities are basic, with no private bathroom in the tree, and staff escort guests to and from the lodge for meals.
