The Experience
Ubizane Tree Lodge is part of Ubizane Wildlife Reserve, a privately owned, malaria-free reserve of about 800 hectares some 4 km from Hluhluwe town in northern KwaZulu-Natal. The tree lodge units are wooden houses on stilts among fever trees, each with an en-suite bathroom, with meals available on request. Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and antelope roam the reserve, and there is a pool, braai areas and two waterholes. Ubizane runs guided game drives into the nearby Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, which makes it a convenient base for the park.
