Gosheni Talent and Global Partners
Applicant privacy notice
How we handle your information when you apply for a job, an internship or a partner role with Gosheni Safaris.
Who we are
Gosheni Safaris is a safari company based in Arusha, Tanzania. We decide how your application data is used, which makes us the data controller under Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act 2022.
Questions about this notice or your data go to info@goshenisafaris.com.
What we collect
- Your application details: name, email, phone, WhatsApp number if you give it, country, city, time zone and language.
- Your situation, availability, education, work experience, skills, languages and what you tell us about your goals.
- For partner applications: the markets you work in, your audience, how you work and any registration or licence number.
- Documents you upload, such as a CV, certificates, a portfolio or an optional photo.
- Your answers in the written interview, if you choose to take part.
- Records of your consent choices: what you agreed to, which version of this notice you saw, and when.
- Security logs: your IP address, browser and device information, and the times you used the application. These help us protect the system from abuse.
Why we use it
- To assess your application and decide whether to offer you a role, an internship or a partnership.
- To contact you about your application, by email and, if you agree, on WhatsApp.
- To keep the application secure and to prevent spam and abuse.
Your IP address and device information are used for security only. They are never used to judge whether you are suitable for a role.
AI-assisted processing
After you submit, we offer a short written interview run by an AI-assisted assistant. It asks about 8 questions and prepares notes for our team. We use the DeepSeek AI service for this. DeepSeek acts as our processor and may handle the data outside Tanzania.
Before anything is sent, we remove your name, contact details and photo. Your employment status, IP address and location are not sent either.
The assistant does not make decisions. It gives no pass or fail score and cannot reject anyone. A person at Gosheni reads every application and makes every decision.
You can say no to the AI-assisted interview and still apply. A person will then review your application directly.
Photos
A photo is optional. If you upload one, it is never used to assess you and it is never sent to the AI service.
Who sees your information
Only Gosheni staff who handle recruitment can see your application. Your files are stored privately and are never published or reachable through a public link. Each time a staff member opens a document, we record it.
We do not sell your information or share it with other employers.
How long we keep it
- An application you start but do not submit is deleted after 30 days without activity.
- An application that is declined or withdrawn is kept for 12 months, then deleted.
- If you join our talent pool, we keep your details for 24 months so we can contact you about other roles. You can leave the pool at any time.
- A written interview left unfinished is closed after 7 days, and a person reviews your application instead.
If we offer you a role or a partnership, we will tell you how we keep your records from then on.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2022 you can ask us to:
- show you the information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information;
- stop using your information for a particular purpose;
- withdraw a consent you gave, such as AI processing, the talent pool or WhatsApp contact.
To do any of these, reply to any email we have sent you, write to info@goshenisafaris.com, or use the "Ask us to delete my data" button on your application page. A person handles every request and confirms by email.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission of Tanzania.
