3-day Bwindi gorilla safari itinerary
You will be met by our representative at Entebbe International Airport and begin the drive to Bwindi by road. The route takes you through Uganda's changing landscapes, from the bustle around Entebbe to the greener country further west. You will stop over in Mbarara for lunch before continuing on to Kisoro.
On arrival in Kisoro, you settle in at Lake Mulehe Gorilla Lodge, your base for the next two nights. The evening is yours to rest and take in the calm of the surroundings after the day's travel. Dinner is served at the lodge, and an early night is worthwhile, as tomorrow begins with breakfast before you head to the park headquarters for briefing ahead of your gorilla tracking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing. Briefing starts at 8:00 am.
Tracking is a captivating and unforgettable experience which more than repays the effort needed to reach Bwindi. Gorilla tracking starts at 8:30 AM and can last a few hours to a whole day depending on where the gorillas were left the previous day.
Rest of the day at leisure.
After breakfast, you leave Bwindi behind and begin the drive back to Kampala. The road trip takes around ten hours, so settle in for a long day on the road, with the landscapes of south-western Uganda passing by as you go.
Your driver-guide will make stops along the way so you can stretch your legs and buy lunch, which is not included today. You arrive in Kampala in the evening, bringing the trip to a close.
