The Experience
Rufiji River Camp is a Foxes Safari Camps tented camp on the banks of the Rufiji River near Mtemere gate in Nyerere National Park, the former Selous Game Reserve. It was the first camp built in the Selous and remains one of its oldest. There are 14 en-suite tents along the river, each with a stone patio, and three of them are larger family suites. Stone paving and big thatched roofs in the main area give it a more permanent feel than many tented camps. Activities include game drives in open vehicles, walking safaris, boat trips on the Rufiji and fly camping.
