The Experience
Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is a large lodge in Shaba National Reserve, east of Samburu and Buffalo Springs, set among natural springs on the Ewaso Nyiro River about 42 km north of Isiolo. Rooms look over the river and gardens, each with a private veranda. The free-form swimming pool is fed by spring water and has a waterfall, and the Surpelei restaurant is raised on stilts above the river. There is also the Tulia mini spa, a bar and a kids' club. Shaba is known as Born Free country, where Joy Adamson worked and is commemorated.
