4-day Ndutu Serengeti safari itinerary
After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your Hotel in Arusha and then transferred to Arusha airport for your short time flight (50mins) to Serengeti North Ndutu Area. Upon arrival, you will meet your driver guide for a full day game drive in Ndutu to view the migration. In the evening, we’ll drive to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Lake Ndutu area, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift lakes, however, the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. The area is usually heavily populated with elephant, birds and resident game.
You’ll have an early morning game drive at Ndutu Area and in the afternoon, back to the Camp for Lunch. You’ll also enjoy an evening game, then back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Thorough explanation about this great world event that Tanzania is proud of will be provided. And in the evening as the sun goes down, Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration.
Early in the morning, enjoy a hot air balloon safari, then back to the camp for your breakfast followed with an afternoon game drive en route to Serengeti Central (Seronera).
The park is well known for its healthy stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the "big five", named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion: the Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. African Leopard: these reclusive predators are commonly seen around.
HOT AIR BALLOON PER PERSON COST $546 (price are separate from the total price above)
Begin your final morning in the Serengeti with a game drive while the light is still soft and the plains are quiet. This is a good time to look for the resident wildlife of the central Serengeti, including lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo, before returning to camp for breakfast.
After breakfast, you leave the Serengeti behind and drive back to Arusha. The route takes you out of the park and across the highlands, with the landscape changing as you go. You arrive in Arusha in the afternoon, where you are dropped off at your hotel, which has been booked on your own arrangement. Breakfast is included today; lunch and dinner are not, so plan accordingly for the rest of your day in Arusha.
