About Mwanza

Mwanza is a lakeside city on the southern shore of Lake Victoria, known for the granite boulders piled along its waterfront. Its airport is a quick way into the western Serengeti, useful when the migration moves through the western corridor around May and June. This is also the home region of the Sukuma, Tanzania's largest ethnic group, whose history and music are kept alive at the Bujora museum just outside the city.
